Back-End Developer

NEXT-DC is looking for an open-minded and enthusiastic Back-End Developer to join our team

NEXT-DC is a creative agency working on the verge of advertising and information technology.

We are building progressive web applications, complex acquisition platforms, immersive experiences bringing the digital and the analogue world closer together for international clients like Heineken, BMW, MINI, Canon, Jack Daniel’s, FOX International Networks, KFC.

Every project we work on is giving us the opportunity to learn something new, try new technologies and to collaborate with some of the best from various industries around the globe.

Who you are:

  • You are a Mid- to Senior-level developer with over 5 years of experience;
  • You are familiar with the basics — how to use Git, how to write HTML, what is OOP, and last, but not least, you have good English;
  • You have a profound understanding of WordPress, and experience with different content management systems, including e-commerce platforms like WooCommerce, OpenCart, and Magento;
  • Even though you can learn new languages and switch between them with ease, you are comfortable using PHP 5.6.x/7 and have experience with Laravel (or other MVC frameworks) and templating engines;
  • You have experience with designing RESTful APIs and coordinating them with a front-end developer;
  • You have deployed many web applications, including ones based on JavaScript front-end frameworks like Vue and React, to different servers and hosting environments;
  • You can design relational databases for MySQL, as well as optimise queries and database structures for different environments;
  • You are strict about web standards, and are ready to face the challenge of converting legacy code into modern web applications;
  • Bonus: You have experimented with using JavaScript on the server side, and you feel passionate about crazy cutting-edge technologies — at NEXT-DC you might actually have a chance to test them out in production!

What will you be doing:

  • Coming up with creative technical solutions to business challenges;
  • Helping with specifications, estimations, and planning;
  • Working with designers and other developers on diverse digital projects;
  • Introducing new technologies, development (and management) best practices;
  • Contributing to open source projects that help you in your work.

To sum up:

You’ll be working on a variety of exciting and innovative projects with a team of talented and enthusiastic people. One thing we can say for sure: your day at work will never be boring.
