The Date Place

We are about to launch our biggest digital installation to date.

Let’s be honest – Sofia is quite a nice city but there aren’t really much romantic places to wait for your date. London, Paris, or Rome - they all have their legendary meeting points. So we thought it would be a good idea to create a public place in Sofia for meeting your date; a place made the Heineken way.

The Date Place is just that – a digital installation bringing interactivity into the offline space while still preserving the chance to surprise your date in a special, romantic way. Using your mobile phone, you will be able to turn on romantic lights, play music, or take a photo just when your date arrives.

The structure is placed in Chaika – one of Sofia’s most beautiful squares. The construction took us over three months working together with some of the leading Bulgarian designers, architects, sculptors, programmers and specialists in robotics - Transformatori, Puket, Robotev, Kinetic and IT360°.

The opening event is happening tomorrow, March 27, at 18:00 in Chaika square (between Rakovski St. and Gurko St.) Learn more about it on Facebook. You can either come to surprise someone, or just have a cold Heineken with friends.
